Personally, I don't think there’s one specific destination that everyone has to visit. I take something meaningful away from every single trip. I always look for those elements that truly connect with me, such as an incredible view, a delicious meal, a fine glass of wine, a still moment in nature, or a striking piece of art and design. But if I had to pinpoint the one journey that changed me most, it would be my time in Africa.

Traveling through countries like Kenya, Botswana, South Africa or Namibia was profoundly transformative. I was deeply moved by the humility and incredible hospitality of the local people, who offer such warmth while navigating a reality far more challenging than our own in the Western world. But it was the sheer scale of the wilderness that truly left me breathless. Being fully immersed in nature and experiencing that raw, direct connection with the wildlife on safari is utterly incomparable. Witnessing the vastness of the African savanna and all the animals in their natural habitat brought moments of pure awe and deep emotion. It is an experience that fundamentally shifts your perspective, leaving you with a much deeper appreciation for life.

There is a whole list of destinations! After many years, I would definitely love to return to Norway to enjoy the stillness of the fjords and the raw beauty of the Norwegian nature. In particular, a road trip through the Lofoten Islands, high above the Arctic Circle, is a journey that has captivated me ever since I was studying in Denmark and almost made it there. One day…

To be honest, I’ve always thought this marketing slogan was a bit of a cliché. Most people don't actually want their hotel to feel just like home; they want it to be better! So, rather than searching for a "homey" vibe, I look for an elevated experience: think effortless comfort, flawless service, beautiful architecture and design, and an attention to detail.

However, if I had to pick one place where I recently felt truly "at home," it’s the Bvlgari Hotel in Milan. Having stayed there a few times, it’s the sense of familiarity and genuine warmth that stands out. Apart from the design of the property, I love the consistency of their service, the feeling of being recognized, and its slightly "off the beaten path" location. It’s the little things that win me over too, such as their pillow menu (the lavender one is my favorite) and a freshly brewed herbal tea waiting on my nightstand every night, which perfectly matches my evening routine at home.
